I am looking for a heart rate monitor that i can use while training in a gym… preferably w/ a strap but a good quality strapless will do. also im on a budget so a good quality cheap pulse rate monitor im aware that you get what you pay for but if anyone has bought a cheap one that was suitable and fairly durable please let me know.
im not trying to lose weight, im trying to gain it but in muscle mass.

Take a look at the Omron HR 100C heart rate monitor. It is one of the best selling heart rate monitors on Amazon. It is quite inexpensive at around $30 on Amazon and delivery is free. The Omron comes with a chest strap and a wrist watch. It is popular for people using a heart rate monitor for the first time.

I'm looking for a heart rate monitor that I'm not sure exists. I want a strapless model that continulously measures my heart rate (I'm not sure if this can even be achieved) that has a pedometer, calories burned and can be worn as a watch. I could deal with it not measuring my heart rate continulously if it gave me an accurate calorie count, but I don't want to wear a strap.

Suunto has some very interesting wrist computers, but I don't know they include a pedometer. Do you want distance walked, or steps taken ?

You can get a foot pod, and others with foot pod and GPS, for some Suunto models that signals the distance walked or run. But I think they all use a chest strap. It also will give agood approximation of calories. It does that by taking input of your age, height, and weight.

My parents want strapless wireless HRM watch's for their birthdays. They want it to beep when entering and exiting their target heart rate zones. They will use this working out, walking, and biking. Would they have to hold their fingers on the sensors of all the watches? Are there watches that have a sensor on your wrist? Dp you preset these? How to they work if they are not getting a constant read out? They don't want chest straps!

I have to order them or find them soon at target or dick's for this weekend.

I'm confused.
Strapless monitors do not continuously monitor, so from my research – I had to get them the ones with the strap.

these devices detect the radial(wrist) pulse, and may be programmed to beep at set numbers. Be proud of your parents for caring about their health, they are setting a good example for you. Check out a place like sharper image for on line orders or check at a local health club or nutrition store.

I've been looking for a while and can't seem to find this. If you can help me out you'd be a life saver. I'm looking for a stylish heart rate monitor watch (for men or unisex) where you don't need to wear a chest strap. I'd like it to show my constant heart rate without having to push any buttons. A lot of the strapless heart rate watches I've seen you have to push two buttons to get a reading and that would not be too fun. I'd also like it to work without having to rub on any kind of conductive gel. Thanks for any help!

Timex makes a strapless heart rate watch. Not sure about the buttons though. They run about $99 in the store. Cheaper online I bet.
