Zoloft can cause weight gain, but it usually levels out after you get used to it. Conversely, stopping it can also cause weight gain. Usually Zoloft doesn't cause as much weight gain as rapidly as you have reported. Ask your MD to check your Thyroid and explain that even if yours is borderline low you would like to try some syn-thyroid. It can help with your depression and your weight gain.

    But if you're exercising so much, part of your weigth gain is gonna be muscle, which weighs a lot more than fat. If you want to keep training, then switch over to more aerobic/endurance, that will lean you out a bit more

    two other reasons for the weight gain might be a thyroid problems – a blood test can check for that.
    and PolyCystic Ovary Syndrom which is very common among women in you age group. this can be found by using Ultasound. It causes your body to store fat and not burn calories correctly and also you might have noticed a change in your periods.

    i think you have similar problem with me. well i was on the same place as you are now going to the gym 4 times a week and average time 2 hours a day and never lost any thing i just keep gaining the weight. i'm 160cm and i was weight 65 kg it was horrible experience but now i find a solution is using diet pills which is realy working you can loose up to 5lb a week without any excercise if you keep excercise you will get slim body with no time i would recomend to use http://www.zenj.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=40

They are not idiots, there is only ONE way to gain weight and ONE way to lose weight.

To gain weight, eat more calories than you use.

To lose weight, eat less calories than you use.

Nothing else matters, there is nothing in the universe that changes those two rules. Cut out the high calorie foods, count your calories so you average less than your recommended daily amount, and you will lose weight.

Chances are you don't realise just how many calories you are eating. Soft drinks alone contain around 200 calories per bottle. If you drink a bottle of vitamin water after 30 minutes on the treadmill, then you won't lose weight.

you should go to a psychiatrist. some anti-depressants do cause weight gain. he or she can change the medication and see. but dont stop the tratment. depression is a lousy thing to live with.
